These are the only two teams in the division to not be eliminated from postseason contention. Round Rock has been great in the second half of the season with a 35-21 record. The Express are up four-plus games on the Dodgers in the second-half standings. But it is OKC who has the half-game lead over Round Rock in the overall standings. The Dodgers' pitching was what delivered game five for Oklahoma City. The Dodgers put up seven pitchers but the staff scattered six hits and didn't let Round Rock to score until the eighth inning. OKC was only up 3-1 at that point but the Dodgers scored four in the bottom of the inning to grab some breathing room and allowed them to close out the game. It didn't help that the Express let two runs to score on two separate wild pitches.
Round Rock is expected to start righty Owen White in the finale. He is 4-4 with a 3.89 ERA. The Dodgers have yet to announce a starter for today's game.
